Greetings Members,

I am into an assignment of doing internal audit of an insurance company. For our firm this is their first internal audit and for me its first internal audit as well as new entry in insurance sector. Respected all, I desperately need your guidance. The area allotted to me is MIS reporting and Branch Co-ordination. Kindly, advice how should I go about doing audit of this area effectively. I am facing time constraint.

Branch co ordination is concerned as its name sugest, with analysing the fact that whether a branch is consistent with the norms it is supposed to follow. It involves : - branch reconcillation -periodic summary send by the branch to the H.O. -checking matters in transit, etc.
Hi.......... take the CA final auditing Institute material and find the Audit of insurance companies, by that you can have an idea about the insurance company. I am sure that it can help you certain extent.
