Hey folks, recently i got the news that a person working under a CA for two years is exempted from doing articleship. The news has passed through unofficial channels, I would like to confirm the authenticity of it , or any related gossips about it. If you had come across any such , pls share..

No such gossips I heard. Even in my view there are no such proposals at ICAI. I don't think ICAI will give such exemption because working under a CA is not an assurance that a student has worked in all the related areas covered under articleship.

u can give final exams after completing 2 and 1/2 yrs of articleship...bt u hav to complete the remaining 6 months after exams...thts rule i guess so

In ipcc, after two & half of articleship (out of 3yrs) , the student will be eligible for final..
