I recently read in a book that debentures are not forfeited if calls remain unpaid. Then what does a company do if calls on a debenture remain unpaid?

yes it right that debenture are not forfeited bcs they are money providers if they do not provides money they were not be eligible for interest. no loos of compny if they do not provides calls in arrear.
