Transfer within 1 year is permishable without any restriction.Transfer during 2-3 year will be permishable in specified circumstances, see the regulation of institute.

please mention ur articleship starting date

You can write a letter to ICAI stating that you are relocating to Kolkata and thet allow you to take transfer. Withing 15-20 days you will receive a letter from them. Then you can proceed further.

If this is your 1st year of articleship then you just have to fill the form 109 and get this form signed by your principal and submit it with ICAI within 30 days from the date u are taking transfer.Otherwise if u have already served for more than 1 year then write an application to the ICAI stating the reason of transfer then they will send you the formal letter allowing you to take transfer. Then proceed further. i.e Join new firm and fill form 103 and 102 and submit the 103 with the institute within 30 days from the date of joining new firm..

Hope u got the point.

Yeah.. U have to first sumit a letter requesting for transfer of articleship along with reason, proof for such transfer (Eg: parents tranfer, copy of their transfer letter) & No objection letter from ur principal, Once permission is granted from institute u need to sumit for Form 109 & Copy of permission letter.
