Transfer in articleship

First take the permission of institute by applying for transfer duly signed by you and your principle CA.

2. First find a firm for articleship, then only proceed for transfer with present firm. No permission is required from Institute as it is in your first year of articleship. In first year, one can take transfer without any restriction.

Hi,

I am working in a firm having bank and stock audits only. I get no exposure in audit, accounts and tax. Also I have to travel a lot for my work. The present situation for articles seems quite grim with many firms having no vacancies for articles. So is it advisable in my case to take a transfer? Please give your valuable advice as I have to make this decision before completing 1 year of my articleship.

Also can I apply to new firms only after getting a transfer from my old firm. OR Can I go to new firms and tell them that I am waiting for a transfer from my old firm.
