Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies why discrepancies can appear in the AIS summary regarding dividends and security sales. These mismatches often stem from errors made by reporting agencies, which are then rectified. The conversation highlights that both depositories (NSDL/CDSL) and stockbrokers report transactions, leading to potential duplication. Taxpayers are advised to file feedback in AIS reports to prompt corrections from the reporting agencies.

Due to mistake made by the reporting agencies, which they rectify as and when find the error.

You can file feedback in AIS reports, in turn ITD reports it to the agency. Till such time it is becomes inactive.

So sir who is reporting entity in case of sale and purchase of securities -( stock broker(zerodha etc) or depositary)

Both depositories like NSDL & CDSL in case of demat acc transactions, for intraday + F&O etc.  stock brokers.

Presently we have seen both reporting the same transaction, which assessee need to file feedback.

Ok so both are reporting the same transactions? right sir? and thankyou for replying

At present the system is still under constructive stage, hence the mixing up. Let it set on path. Once it will be all set, it will be much helpful for easy filing.

Good luck..
