Time Gap between Transfer of Articleship???

Suppose a student start his articleship from 1july 2007 and take transfer on 1 august 2008 i.e. after 13 month and then rejoined articleship from 1 november 2008 and continue then when total artictilship of 3.5 year was complete i.e. 31st dec.2010 or 31st march 2011. There is only 3.5 month leave which is much low then allowed leave. Can time gap of 3 month is included in that period or not ?? Pls reply urgently
