hi deepali di
when i intially read the article sent by my uncle to me, i understood from that phrase that we should save the things which may help us in our difficult times, instead of thinking that we will see then.
after searching for the meaning in google i found that it is ;
save (something) for a rainy day and put something aside for a rainy day; hold something back for a rainy day; keepsomething for a rainy day
Fig. to reserve something--usually money--for some future need. I've saved a little money for a rainy day. Keep some extra allowance for a rainy day.
so it is nothing but not expensing/using entire resources with us, but saving some portion to use for future needs.
