Tds on salary

Dear All,

Kindly request to u please let me know what should i do in this situation-

There is a employee in our company she joind in Aug and now she left the job. so she has worked only 5 months.

She salay is 58000.we didnt paid last month salary so whether i paid full salary or after deduted tds.nd till now i didnt deduted tds

Dear Mr. Sachin,

Rs. 58000 is monthly salary or is the salary of 5 months that she worked? If it is monthly salary then you should deduct tax amount from the last month's salary and then pay the remaining amount to her. If it is salary for 5 months you not liable to make TDS.

Dear sir ,

58000 is per month salary.but she commited to submitted documents of investment and HRA.

Then what shoul i do

I think it would be appropriate to remind her to submit the documents within a certain time limit, and then act accordingly.

Remind her to submit the details within 5-6 days or so or else you deduct tax from the salary anyhow she will get credit of that after all.

i think sachin u need not deduct TDS from her salary if she will submit document regarding investment and rent receipt than taxable salary calculation is under the exemption limit.

But Dear she didnt submitted her investment doucments yet.

I would suggest you to deduct TDS. If you do not want to deduct TDS, do not do F&F settlement and do not make provision as well.
