Can i plz know whether TDS has to be Deducted on one time payment of license fee paid to non resident for acquring technology. if it has to be deducted at wat rate it has to be deducted????

Dear Vamshi,
TDS shall be deducted on the license fees paid to the Non Resident U/S 195. The rate depends upon the payee, whether he is Individual or Company. Rate shall be 10%% Plus SC Plus EC

yes TDS can be deducted on one time license fee paid if amount is greater than 20000 @ rate of 10%+2%education cess for secondry education+1%education cess for heigher education (means 10.3%)
