Tds - no pan

TDS 145 views 2 replies

Sir, I have some amount of deposit for Rs.5,00,000/- and the banker informed me to give form 15G/H for non tax deduction for TDS. I gave it. But now they have deducted tax for higher percentage of 20% of TDS as per 206AA of IT Act.

My question - I have earned Rs.50000 which is like other source of income for me there is no other income is available as of now. so how can i get back this tax fully. The banker has deducted Rs.10000 as TDS how to claim refund? i have not filed any Income tax return as of now

First of all obtain PAN, submit a copy to bank, and inform them to link the same with FDs. Then file Form 15 G/H, whichever applicable, for non-deduction of TDS in future. Without PAN nothing can be done to solve this issue.

You can get your TDS deducted as refund, by filling your income tax return of the corresponding year (again PAN required), provided bank link the TDS so deducted to your PAN.

SIr,

Thanks for your reply
