I HAVE DEDUCTED TDS FROM VARIOUS PAYMENTS OF RS. 19000 FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2009-2010 (i.e. ASSESSMENT YEAR 2010-2011). BUT I FAILED TO DEPOSIT THE SAME TO THE GOVERNMENT TILL 7 JUNE 2010. PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH THE SOLUTION SO THAT THE EXPENSES SHOULD NOT BE DISALLOWED AND BY WHEN IT SHOULD BE PAID?

WAITING FOR THE RESPONSE.

You can pay the TDS amount with interest up to the due date of filing of return presribed in section 139(1).

If u pay the TDS amount along with interest than Expenses will not be disallowed u/s 40(a)(ia).
