The payments were being made to a company for launching the website(including designing) in internet.
wheather these payments were laible to TDS or not, if so under which section.

If the invoice contains service tax then TDS u/s 194 j is to be deducted else TDS u/s 194 c.

It'll will definitely attract 194J coz website desining needs professional knowledge and so professionals will attract TDS .........
Ya TDS should be deducted under 194J.
But do keep in mind the threshold limit, for deducting TDS the invoice/pymnt. should be more than Rs. 20000/- only then it will attract tds u/s.194J, otherwise not.
