- It is not possible to claim exemption of HRA as well as deduction of interest on housing loan for a self occupied property. If self occupied own house, then interest can be claimed as deduction and if house is occupied as a rental property, then HRA exemption can be claimed.
- You can invest in various options available u/s 80C, 80CCD (NPS), 80D (mediclaim insurance) etc. You may google for more info.
