Whether TDS is deducted or not on a minor who is earning from a property owned by his father? The father is alive & is an representative assessee???
TDS SHALL BE DEDUCTED FROM THAT INCOME TO THE MINOR AND AS PER THE PROVISIONS OF SEC. 64(1A), INCOME OF MINOR SHALL BE CLUBBED IN THE HANDS OF THE PARENT WHOSE GROSS TOTAL INCOME BEFORE INCLUDING THE INCOME OF MINOR IS MORE. THE FATHER IS A REPRESENTATIVE ASSESSE IS IRRELEVANT THING HERE...........

TDS provisions never bother whether the person is minor or not, and it will see only whether we should deduct or not.

TDS will be deducted as per section 194I irrespective of the fact that the person receiving the income is minor/major if the income exceeds the limit as specified in the said section and the fact that father is representative is irrelevant
