Company A id merged with Company B. Now Company A is non existant as per ROC records. The company has only one TAN which is to be surrender. We can fill the item no 6 in form for change or correction in TAN but the question is who will sign and on whose behalf?

Need not to file TAN change or correction form, this can be used in case of allotment of duplicate TAN. Write a letter to your jurisdictional AO (TDS) on a plain paper, requesting for cancellation of TAN and state reasons for such a request. Letter to be signed by the person who was responsible for deduction of tax for that TAN.
