Is tan mandatory for proprietorship firm
Is there any turnover limit or any other conditions.

For deduction of TDS and to deposit in GOVT account , filing TDS returns , TAN is mandatory .

For proprietorship it's not mandatory.

Tds provisions applicable only if the tax audit is applicable.

For Individual Turnover limit is 1 crore .

Individuals & HUFs have a relaxation.So you need to check whether tax audit is applicable.

Any person who is liable to deduct TDS/TCS is required to obtain TAN except if TDS is deducted u/s 194 IA, 194 IB, 194M
