A Telegraphic Transfer is a form of remittance, which is advised by telegram, telex or fax machines.

The fundamental principles of such transfer are otherwise identical with the Mail Transfer.

Exchange shall be charged as per Bank's schedule of charges.

Drawee Branches afford credit of Telegraphic Transfer to customers account within a maximum period of 2 days from the date of deposit of funds for TT.

(UNITED BANK OF INDIA)

ACTUALLY EVERY SCHEDULED AND PRIVATE BANKER TAKES VARIOUS TIME HOLDS  AND CHARGES AS PER THEIR GUIDELINES .

PLEASE CHECK YOUR BANKER GUIDELINES IN THIS REGARDS.

THANKS,

Looking into CBS system adoped by all  banks/branches now nobody use TT facility as RBI has put in RTGS scheme  which facilitate credit within 24 hours with very nominal charges

Academically reply written by Mr Verma is correct and most authentic
