GOD = GOOD. Most of the adjectives like Character, Integrity, Honesty,
Commitment, Love are intuitively understood / realized, but eludes exact
definition.
Also, unless darkness exist, we won't know what light is !!! Unless an
opposite exists ( Dark, bitter, Cold, young, Life etc.), you won't know a
thing like ( Light, Sweet, Hot, Old, Death etc.). That is, if the universe
is full of light, You don't even know it. You need darkness to identify /
know what light is !!! This is the philosophy of "Zen" , derived from
"Dyan" .
Ultimately it is not a debatable issue & a matter of FAITH or BELIEF.
This issue was dealt long ago in Nammalwar's Pasuram in Nalayira Divya
Prabhandam ( Under Uyarvara Uyar Nalam). It runs like this:
" Ulan Enil Ulan Avan Uruvam Ivvuruvugal ( If God is there, he manifests
in all existence)
Ulan Alan Enil Avan Aruvam Ivvaruvugal ( If God is not there, he
manifests as Non Existence)
Ulan ena Enal Ena Evai Gunam Udamaiyil ( As He has both the
characteristics / aspects )
Ulan eru thagamaiyodu Olivilan Paranthe ( He exists & manifests in
all)
