why proxy can only vote by poll not by show off hands what the logic behind it

Proxy is neither a member nor an authorised representative... he can represent up-to 50 members...also to maintain sanctity of meeting with proper checks in case of Poll, he/she is not allowed to vote by show of hands, he/she also has to remain silent throughout the meeting...except join or demand for poll u/s 109
