short deduction In tds

If demand is raised for short deduction in tds. Then such amount in which column shall be filled. We feed this amount in the basic tax column but return is processed with default and no credit is given for tax paid earlier. Now how can this return rectify

download conso file from tin nsdk..than made required corrections and file the same

if tax is already paid but credit not given to the deducter.. Then you have to do deductee correction if the credit to be consumed from same challan, or If you want to give credit from another challan you have to add deductee row and adjust base amount to both with giving tax credit to new deducter. You can do the correction online if have DSC or request consolidated file and do manual.
