i had a loss in shares in equities trading aswell as F & O . Is it a must to show these losses in ITR-5. ? Also please inform whether losses in both these equities aswellas F &O can be carried forward for next years ? Pl advise.

Are these short terms?? I guess you can easily carry these to future years

sort term only. it was during 2015-16 financial year.

Yes it is necessary to show these losses.you can carry forward these losses up to 8 yrs. and can be set off against any other business income if any.

thank you for your advise sir.Butsomebody told that the losses in F @ O comes under speculativeand these losses can't be forwardedand only the equities lossescan be forwarded.pl help meinthis regard
