SFT-006 Credit Card Payment

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses concerns regarding SFT-006 (high-value credit card transactions) reported to the Income Tax Department. Individuals who were previously NRE but became resident for a financial year, or those with significant credit card spending (even if due to money rotation), are advised to file their Income Tax Return (ITR) immediately. It's recommended to file ITR-2 or ITR-3, declaring all global income, and to respond to the e-compliance portal by stating that the ITR has been filed. For complex situations like money rotation between cards, consulting a local tax professional is advised.

Keep the records of credit cards rotations with statments issued by banks. In case of any further query you can justify the amount roteted for earning some monetary gains.

Thanks sir for the response

1. The money rotation areas done using rent pay using credit card to my own account  ? Does this lead to any complications in terms of TDS, income , etc

2. what should my response be now to the campaign sent by income tax? Should I accept transactions are correct

1. It needs to be justified by cross entries.

2. Better consult a local professional to get it resolved properly.
