Sectoral Regulator, means, the one who have been assigned powers to issue directions/order /adjudication / take action in their ambit, Like For Banks/NBFCs - RBI is Sectoral Regulator, For Listed Companies /Stock Exchange / Intermediaries( SEBI is Sectoral Regulator) For Insurance Companies (IRDA is Sectoral Regulator) ,In Nutshell Sector Specific Regulator...these are quasi judicial bodies in their own area...
