Can Income from coaching be shown under section 44 AD?

The criteria for an "Eligible Business" under section 44AD mentions that ANY business can be assessed under section 44AD except the business of plying, hiring or leasing goods carriages, as long as the turnover of the assessee does not exceed 1,00,00,000 Rs/-.

I recently filed my client's income tax return under section 44AD. My client, a registered partnership firm, also happens to be engaged in the business of conducting tutorial classes.

So, yes. Income from coaching can be assessed under section 44AD, so long as the turnover/gross receipts of the ASSESSEE from all his businesses does not exceed 1,00,00,000 Rs/-.
