Under sec 184 , Will a director , who is interested in a contract proposed to be discussed in a board meeting, be refrained from participating in the entire meeting or only in the discussion and subsequently voting on such contract , where such meeting has other business to be transacted as well ?

interested director has to exxuse himself for the entire agenda item.
But for the private Limited Company interested Directors can participate in meeting after discussion of agenda item in which Director is interested as some private limited company have 2 Directors so for purpose of better governance and requirement of forming qurum, such directors are relaxed from aforesaid provisions in case of private limited company
