X has a factory where he manufactures certain goods which he supplies.
however periodically he also sells scrap generated during manufacture.
Will GST apply on supply of Scrap? Why?
He doesnt deal in scrap.

If he doesn't deal, why he sells it and doesn't donate in charity???

Scrap is also moveable property ie goods. GST is applicable on sale of scrap done in course of business, against the payment of consideration by the factory
Tax rate of GST depends on nature of scrap
