Simply a direct entry can b made, if u r recording all purchases well....
Dear Learner,
The entry is to be passed as a sales entry for which you need to go to the gateway of tally then into accounting vouchers then press F8 u will get the sales entry mode activated then pass the fllowing entry.
CASH A/C ...DR
TO SALES A/C.
PASS THIS ENTRY AT THE END OF EVERY DAY WITH THE TOTAL RECEIPT.

First open Tally - Select Company (F1) - Accounting Vouchers (V) - Sales (F8) - Type Invoice No or Bill No - Change the Date (F2) - Then,
By Cash Sales or Cash A/c Dr 3000.00
To Sales A/c Cr 3000.00
Narration : Being Goods sold to Mr.X.

First You have to Create Sales Ledger in Gateway of Tally --->A/c. Info--->Ledgers--->Create.
Name Cash Sales
Under Sales A/c
Then you can go as mentioned above
simple cash dr to sales
