29 January 2016What is the taxability of Salary Received in OMAN from an employer based in OMAN to an Ordinarily Resident in India.
Also keep in my mind the provisions of DTAA applicable and please provide a reliable source for your conclusion.

I agree with Dyuthi. In case of ROR, even foreign income is taxable in India. However, the assessee can claim relief u/s 90 or 91

Whether deductions for allowances and prequisites will be available? Also whether the Income be reflected under the head "Salaries"?

Exemption is available only in case of Indian govt employees, for others no such provision I think.
