Hello. i am working with construction company engaged in dam work. In our company lots of people working for a season starts from Sepember upto June of next year. in this time we pay only advance to them. and after the end of season we done all salary calculations & pay balance after deducting the advance. i require a file which help me to calculate the salary for 6 or 7 seven month. please help me

how to calculate days in excel
Hi Sachin!
To calculate number of days in excel you type the two dates first. Be sure to choose the format of date first from -Format-Date. Click in the cell where you want to have the answer. Click the "Insert" button, select "function" and in the 'or select a catagory' select 'date'. Then the same window go to 'select function' and choose 'DAYS360'. Guess rest you can manage.
thanx rupom. but this count as 360 days in year. which is not suitable for me. I found another formula which helps me lot i.e. "datedif"
Hello Rajesh, please explain with forumula. Start Date is 1/1/2009 & end Date is 1/6/2009. then how it work.
