State VAT department shall be designated as SGST offices. SGST officers can excercise power under CGST/IGST Act, and CGST officers can excercise power under SGST Act. Order passed by SGST officers shall be sent to CGST officers and vice versa.
It appears that administrative control of units having supplies less than 1.5 crores in a financial year shall be there with SGST officers, and larger units shall be controlled by CGST officers.
