Reprint tan allotment letter

Dear Forum,

A government deductor has lost TAN allotnumber letter

He knew his TAN number He needs one more printout of the TAN allotment letter

Is this possible? If not what are the equivalent records that can be submitted?

Kindly guide me in this regard

Quick Summary
TAN allotment letter cannot be reprinted, but TAN details can be downloaded online from the Income Tax portal using "Know Your TAN" service. This printout or online verification is accepted as valid proof of TAN.

we cannot re-print tan allottment letter but details generate from it dept. database can be provided as a proof for tan.
