Reply to notice defective return

Sir from the mail I. am in knowledge that the income tax department has been mail me a notice under section 139(9) and asked me give the reply on 1/11/2021 but due to unavoidable circumstances I have not filed the reply in time. and my return defective under above said section.Sir I want to know that what can I do in the above said matter.thank.
