Relief under section 89 and form 10e

Efiling 710 views 4 replies

Dear all,

Let me get out of this,

Is relief under section 89 can be availed without filing form 10E. When the form 10E has to be filed and to whom it is to be filed?

Do any interlink exist between 10E and  income tax return?

Thanks in advance

Yes there is a serious link, without form 10E, 89(1) claim will not be processed. You can file 10E online at the same time you fill the ITR

Thank you.

What is the confirmation that the details furnished in form 10E are correct?

Is copy of the same need to be provided to employer?

Which is to be filed first? Form 10E or ITR?

Can claim be availed if the form 10E is filed after filing ITR?

Kindly reply for the queries.

Thanks in advance

Before submitting online Form 10E,  should be confirmed that all details have been filled properly
and after submitted, you can download duly filed form 10E and acknowledgment (recepit) from your income tax account

No, you can keep in your record for future reference (if required)

Which is to be filed first? Form 10E or ITR?
First ITR and thereafter Form 10E

No problem , Both Form 10 E and ITR should be uploaded, without form 10E
relief under section 89(1) cannot be availed

Only when you fill 10E, you will be able to determine the 89(1) relief column figure and then you fill the ITR form and both needs to be uploaded successfully togather. Onus of Authenticity of contents of 10E lies on you like ITR.
