As far as my knowledge is concerned in this regards Adtiya is correct. There is no such parameter  of time period for re registration but is preferable to join in new firm as soon as possible.

More over if there is huge gap then you have to face more compliance of the institute.Such as reasons of such delay with supporting etc.

Therefore it is preferable to join as soon as possible.
