I have just started my own practice as CA prop firm. I would like to register for GST . I am not able to get GST in my firm's name as GST site is asking for name as per PAN.Being a prop firm I can't have separate PAN for my firm. Can I apply as an individual and use it for my trade name XYZ & co?(ie in firm's letterhead, invoices etc).?will it create some issues if somebody checks and finds the GST no is not in the name of the firm? ( eg banks while giving proof for opening current account)

Name as per pan... And ur firm name is trade name.. Legal name of business proprietor name as per pan..
Trade name is ur firm name... And u can issue bills on that name... Main thing is GSTIN.. in gst rc both legal name and trade name is mentioned
Bank account will open on that rc and that is in ur trade name i. e firm name
