To understand this looking at the Banking sector gives a clear idea.

E.g, A State Head office of 1 state Registration are usable for the branches in that perticular state. A new registration is mandatory for every State Head Office.

As per proviso to Sub-Section (2) of Section 25, a person having multiple business verticals in a State may obtain a separate registration for each business vertical, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.
