we have applied for gst cancellation nearly 6 months back...
no intimation from department... still the status is pending for approval ..and it have gone to "Central"..
I have continuously raised greviances on the portal..
the reply was to contact the jurisdiction officer ..
I have tried the same and searched for number in the contacts section available on the portal..but it's of no use..
what can be the best alternative ( apart from filling of returns till date becoz it's have been pending from department..if department had found any disparancies they could have sent the application for resubmission to rectify our mistakes..there was no call from them even...how can we bear the late fee ) ..

if you have valid ARN of the cancellation of the registration i feel you should mail the gstn asking them for a solution and intimating them that any sort of liability arising out of this would be there fault. I went through the same harrassment in a different matter. I mailed them all the valid proof but this time i also asked them to bear the consequences if something goes south because of it. It was my 5th mail to them after which they took it seriously

GSTN helpdesk email id has been discontinued after the introduction of self service portal (grievance redresaal portal for gst).
If you have valid ARN for cancellation, it will surely be processed.
In the meantime, please keep submitting grievances and ALSO TWEET YOUR ISSUE TO "TECHGST".
