SELECT THE ENTIRE COLUMN WHERE THERE IS ' SIGN PRESENT GO TO EDIT -FIND & REPLACE ( CTRL+H  AND THEN IN "FIND WHAT" FIELD ENTER ' . AND KEEP REPLACE WITH FIELD BLANK AND THEN CLICK ON REPLACE ALL . MAKE SURE THAT ONLY REQUIRED COLUMN IS SELECTED .IF NOT EXCEL WILL REPLACE ALL ' SIGN FROM YOUR SHEET. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE THEN SAVE AS THE FILE AND TRY THIS IN NEW TEMPORARY FILE AND SEE IF IT WORKS OR NOT.

I did also but nothing happened

then your numbers are in date format.Select the cells containing such signs and change the format to numbers. Even if this doesn't work just let me know

Select the column in which you are seeing that kind of sign ( ' ) then insert one column parallel to this column. After that insert a formula i.e. =trim(cell) then enter.

Definitely you will get your problem sorted out.

I tried both but nothing worked even not that trim formula

thanx to all of u, i did it using ==value(cell) formula. u all guided me in a right way.

Byee...............)
