I would like to know if while filing IT return, I submit a valid but wrong account number other than that of the assess, will the refund be credited to the account???

Not sure in your case. usually gets credited by acc number only.
But best solution is you can change details of bank account number online, with less than a minute.

Refund ger credied to the account u have mentioned in the efilling .
You should change your details online if the said return has noy been processed

Thank you Dhirajlal Sir. I have been filing IT returns for clients since the past few years. I have had cases where the refund was failed just becasue the initials or its expansions was not as same as in the PAN database. Today for the first time I have this experience of an asesse's refund being credited to a totally different account (not of the assessee) which was mentioned in the ITR.

No dear, possible earlier, but nowdays it is not possible at all, possible only if, that wrong account no is of also in the similar name of assessee
However u can change the Itr filing details by login...

yes it is possible
if account is valid then it will be credited to the account. one of my client gets refund in another client,s account due to wrongly entered of account number

yes my clients refund is credited to wrong account number which is mentioned in ITR.
Now pls advice me how to correct this mistake. because return is processed and refund is credited to another's account.
