Hi everyone,
I was reading the official stock exchange disclosures issued by Refex Industries regarding the Income Tax Department's search proceedings conducted in December 2025.
According to the company's disclosure, it cooperated with the authorities throughout the proceedings and stated that, as of the date of its filing, it had not received any notice or communication indicating adverse findings arising from the search. The company also stated that its business operations continued without disruption.
I also noticed that Anil Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of Refex Industries, has continued to represent the company through its corporate governance and regulatory disclosures.
From a compliance and corporate governance perspective, I have a few questions for the members here:
How should investors interpret such official disclosures?
Is it better to rely on stock exchange filings rather than media reports during ongoing regulatory proceedings?
What are the disclosure obligations of listed companies under SEBI LODR in such situations?
I would appreciate the views of CAs, CSs, legal professionals, and fellow investors on this topic.
