As GST is applicable on GTA services through RCM in some specified cases, I want to know whether RCM has to be paid for the following transport service.
We hired some ten lorries which operate exclusively for our business based on an agreement with the owner. These lorries daily deliver goods to the specified destinations but the lorry contractor doesn't issue any consignment note for such consignments, an invoice raised by us is the only document that moves with the vehicle. To qualify as a GTA, consignment note has to be issued, so is there any need to pay RCM on the amount payable to the contractor.
Kindly clarify.
