Can payment of maintainence fees and electricity bill provided in the rent agreement be claimed for HRA? For example if I pay a rent of Rs 100, maintainence charges of Rs 5 and electricity charges for Rs 1. How much can i include in the rent paid for calculation of HRA. Rent agreement provides for payment of the above mentioned charges by the tenant. Also maintainence fees payment receipts are available in addition to the rent receipts.
