I am a student of CA Final and undergoing articleship at the moment.I ma registered under the old scheme of CA PE-I.Actually i was not registered under any employer for a period of 11 months from February 2009 till date.So i want to know what re the prospects now for me to give the final exam.I want to know whether i am eligible to give the exams?

Hi sona, the language of ICAI says that ur FINALS attempt will be due on completion of 3.5 years of articleship....
That means, the moment u get registered under articleship, then and then only u'll eligible for FINALS which will be due after 3.5 years of ur registeration....
Students under old scheme are allowed to appear for final exams in last 12 months of their articleship. Hence if you have not registered your articleship then i dont think you can appear for exams. When are you planning to get register? You can ask your Principal to register from back date, if possible.
Oh and yes, i dnt know whether there's any clause like time duration by which u should get register for articleship after u clear ur CPT or get transfer in that...

depends on when u wanna appear 4 da exams.
As soon as possible
if u get registered within 3months from the termination of ur articleship from the previous principal then u cn give the due attempt else ur attempt will be delayed...
