A candidate may opt for Accounting Technician Course. Such a candidate has to undergo a study course of nine months, 35 hours Orientation Programme and 100 hours Information Technology Training before appearing in Accounting Technician Examination (ATE). It is to be noted that Group I of IPCC is equivalent to ATC. After passing ATE, he will also be required to complete 12 months of work experience and on production of a certificate to this effect he will be issued Accounting Technician Certificate. A candidate who does not wish to complete erstwhile Intermediate/PE-II/PCC/IPCC can opt for ATC.

It is just optional, if you don't want to complete CA, you may opt for ATC, otherwise complete your articleship asusual.

agreed

Is it means that i have to complete a training of 3 year + 1 year of ATC  in order to claim our Accounting Technician Certificate?

No dear, you have to complete only 1 yr of training + Group I. No need to go for 3 yrs training if you opt for ATC.

i got registered for IPCC both groups & ATC.Now i cleared my IPCC in first attempt so, IF i Want  to get ATC certificate while undergoing articleship for C.A final would i require to undergo 4 years of articleship. If so than, can i claim that certificate after my c.a final by undergoing 1yr of industrial training. Is it possible to do so ,Please let me know.

Thank you,

Mithun

@ Mithun

As per clerafication given to me by E-sahayata:

you may claim ATC after 3 years of articalship

No requirment to do 1 year industrial traning.......
