yes proffessional tax is mandatory its a state tax . Not yet combined in gst law so u have to pay it through state tax portal
my client is a trader in jharkhand with a turnover up to 6-7 lakh p.a, and has no employee, he alone operates the business, whether he still required to get professional tax registration ?
Registration is not compulsory but you have to paid the tax as per regime mention under the law it may be 500 to 1000 rs max in your case jharkhand professional tax list is given in the portal itself.
