Dear members,

Following is the procedure of validating Digital Signed TDS certificates

Pls note signature would show a Question mark " ? " if signature is not valid & remark would be " Validity unknown "

1) Right click on the signature and select “Validate Signature” option.

2) A signature validate status window will appear, than go to “Signature Properties” and click on “Show Certificate”.

3) A certificate viewer window will appear, than select “Trust” option and click on “Add To Trusted Identities”.

4) Than press “OK” & “Validate Signature”. The signature will be validated if it shows a “Tick Mark” on extreme bottom right of the

certificate generated & would show remark as " Signature valid "

Thanks

Thanks for the info!!

Hi,

Is TDS Certificate having digital signed but showing "validity unknown" accepted from client?

Shall we consider it is valid TDS certificate?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

There is a strong probability that the certificate recd by you could be invalid

There are three ways to verify it :

1.   Verify the TDS certificate by entering  all the details mentioned in TDS certificate through the below mentioned site. https://onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com/TIN/JSP/form16A/LinkToUnauthorizedView.jsp

2.    If the  credit of the same is appearing in your 26AS, You can consider the certificate as valid

3.   or you may ask for the soft copy of the certificate & try the above mentioned procedure to verify  the validity.

For  any assistance pls do revert...

Thanks
