i am 23years old...just tell me how much amount of sleep do i need to take every day...i am doing c.a course so it is really important for me....also tell me

1) like if its 7 hours of sleep i require everyday so should i get 7hours continous sleep and if i get 7hours in parts like 2 hours any time,3 hours any time and 2 hours anytime in a day...so what will happen?

2)if i dont take sleep,just keep my body relax by not doing anything,just keep myself awake on bed for 7hours...what willl happen?

3)why do we sleep?

4)if suppose i take 7 hours a sleep regularly in a week xcept for 3 days(in these 3 days i will take sleep for 4 hours) then what will happen?and these 3 days in a week can be anyday...its upto me

Hey bro, appreciate your desire to save time but dont dare to compromise with your sleep. It can lead you to serious health problems. Minimum 6 to7 hours of continuous sleep is must for everyone (most doctors recommend 8hours sleep). Without sufficient proper sleep you will not be able to concentrate in your work or studies. So I suggest you to sleep as much as required. And if you really want to save time then avoid other unnecessary stuffs like facebook, hanging out with friends, watsup, mobile phones, etc. Good Luck.
Hi viru , What ashish said is absolutely right .. It is very imp for a person to get appropriate sleep .. Just by taking rest and not doing any activity does not result any good .U must get proper sleep by which i mean to say you must at least 2 -3 hrs rapid eye movement sleep .. A normal 8hrs sleep has 5 steps .. The last on being the REM (rapid eye movement )sleep .. Which is important . If u dont get quality sleep it will be difficult for u to retain all that you hav studied and your concentration level drops . I recomend you to sleep atleast 7 hrs in night which calls for a quality sleep . And if you find any in trouble sleeping bcz of work / exam stress consult a doc . Yes, it is vital for a human being to have proper sleep, so that he or she is in good health. Admire the nature's beauty that is designed to have good amount of food, sleep etc. to be physically and mentally fit. 

 

Some of them ignore this and think by studying for 16 hours or more will yield them better result. This may be true in exceptional cases for a limited period of time and not always and such an attempt might prove costly at times. Most people suggest that healthy eating habits, routine exercise, meditation, and proper sleep enhance your productivity, and create a positive vibe. 

1) yes every person  needs atleast 6 hours sleep ..

a person is called as healthy if he gets sleep with in 15 minutes.

2)what will happen if you do nothing,

yes, i have an experiance of that,

say some 2 months back i am preparing internal audit report of the company, as it is new company i have to frame every thing fresh in a new word file,

i did it, and i have not slept at all i have started work around 8 pm and completed around 6 am..

Consequenses are,

i felt too tired, and eyes get weight ofcourse i have completed report and mailed to my boss but i lost entire day ,i felt so tired,so i just went back to room and slept..

 

3) yes i am now in that plan only,

now i am planning to do like this,

10pm to 1am sleep

and 1am to 5 am study

and again sleep till 8 am 

i have done 5 days after that i got some outstation work,and after attended to soome family celebrations,

of course i am not saying you that  i slept exactly 10 pm and wake up exactly 1 am, there is delays,and i  felt little bit uncomfortable that time,, But it will be a better work if we can make it..after some days of doing this routine i guess and beleive It will be okay and we can habituated to this routine..

 

But yes, i guess it is possible to take rest in breaks.

There's a guy named Randy Gardner who holds the scientifically documented (where even micro sleeps are detected;  micro sleep is an episode of sleep which lasts for a fraction of second or upto 30 seconds; in other words, the brain automatically shuts down) record for longest sleep deprivation. He stayed awake for 264 hours (11 days). On the final day over a press conference, he said, 'I wanted to prove bad things won't happen if you go without sleep." 

 

 

Note: Record for sleep deprivation are no longer kept by Guinness for fear that the participants will suffer ill effects.

 

Whatever, 6 hours of sleep is sufficient bro. Moreover, it is the quality of sleep which is more important and not the quantity.

Viru, In Order to keep our body and mind to function properly minimum 6 to 7 hours of sleep is necessary.Also, try taking Power Naps during the day... if you start taking these power naps, Over the period of time the minimum sleep which is necessary for the body will be much less than before..All the Best..smiley

@ shrikant ..dude... he is asking how much sleep does he need,,,, i mean that is a lame question... no one in this world can tell him how much sleep does he need... only he know the right amount.... here let me explain in simple terms..
if u sleep 4 hrs n dont feel refreshed then u need more sleep
if u sleep in excess of 9 hrs and dont feel refreshed u need less sleep..
so try practicing with different amounts..... i hope u get it..

and as for my profile ive only written what we all are.. human beings on planet earth....i havent asked som1 a question like  he has asked here..i hope he had not asked this question to ur friends when u meet em.im sure they wud have laughed till their stomach hurt....
