dear friend i am from haryana not know about chennai but i want to say something to you this is my persoanl opinion don't try for very big firm but try a medium firm where u can get both knowledge i.e of tax and audit and official work.because in big firms they are often give only audit works to article.but these are my views u can go for a big firm if u find it suitable according to you.

Further, when you go to medium and small level firms, you can actually get in to the senior most.and of course learn the leadership.

Agree with tarun but if u go for a big firm life will be settled.....i work in a medium size firm and i have knowledge of both audit and tax too but one of my friend joined big 4 and his life changed now... qualified in one attempt... that firm only hired him, for 65000+ per month....life every where is hard to live but hardwork pays....

Agree with Gopal, go for top four big firm as they pay for ur work

 agree with tarun . go for medium firm because in my personal opinion in medium firm u will be able to get more time for studu than big firm because of work load. most important, before joining the article know all details of CA about his behaviour against the students and also about his clients . because after joining the articleship transffer is not possible. it is my personal opinion
