Hi , i am a pe-2 student ,i applied for pe-2 exam this time i.e nov2008 and i got admit card but in that the name of the exam given is ProfessionalCompetenceExam.i am from graduation stream.what is the mattere i am getting disturbed in my studies and preperation by seeing this.

may be pe2 is over now. i think its compulsary pcc. pe2 is only for those who were enrolled in it before pcc. now pcc is compulsary.. pe2 is going to be end. better confirm with the institute. call them . dont take risk

Qarni, pls rush to the Instt and ask if the problem is serious. And dont worry abt PE2 cancellation coz u r Bound to get ur PE2 attempt.
In order to mitigate the hardship being faced by the students who were registered for Professional Education (Course-II) after passing Professional Education (Examination-I) / Foundation Examination / Entrance Examination as the case may be and have exhausted five consecutive attempts (after having been eligible for admission to the said examination), the Council of the Institute has further decided to hold two more Professional Education (Examination-II) in November, 2008 and May, 2009 as well.
As such, all the students of Professional Education (Course -II) who joined the course either on the basis of their degree examination or after passing Foundation Examination / Entrance Examination / Professional Education (Examination-I) can now appear in Professional Education (Examination-II) in November, 2008 and May, 2009 as well.

Don`t worry. Immediately intimate about this error to your nearest ICAI branch. Before this, you ensure that you have submitted your C.A. Nov 2008 exam application form as giving attempt in PEE-II... (BUT NOT PCC).

The institute has not yet stopped taking exam of PE-II. I think still 2 attempts of PE-II are remaining.
